Music, Humor and Words

Not necessarily in that order. Michael Wright chimes in on his life, his interests and the occasional bolt of inspiration that mortals tend to gain from time to time.

So ready for this weekend

As I prepare another Bohemia After Dark for robinhoodradio.com, I take solace in the prospect of a three day weekend, at least one with no obligations other than a Sunday with family.

Short and sweet.

An all too frequent comment

An anonymous poster reading this represents the opinion more than a few former WKZE listeners:

Hi, although wkze is an interesting radio destination in the hudson valley, it really doesn't offer much in the way of personality driven programs. The music is good and the listings are ok but the air staff sounds stale and tired. I was a stedy listener until last june when I got a sirius radio and haven't really tuned in since then.

Thanks for your observation. When I left WKZE nearly five years ago, that "personality driven" sound was on the way out. Since then they lost Hal Lefferts, Doug Harrell, myself, and Christine Zoro. Much of what's left, save for the return of Stuart Hall and Corey, are talking heads. I do wish them well. On the bright side, Hal, Christine, Sally Spillane, Jill Goodman and I can be heard on www.robinhoodradio.com

Ladies and Gentlemen...

It's alive.

Look for a spirited sound for the Hudson Valley and beyond, with a roster that includes familiar voices like Marshall Miles, Hal Lefferts, Christine Zoro, Francis Dunnery, Sally Spillane, Jill Goodman, Keith Munro, Dave Tetor, Gary Bonds and, yes, me.

One more thing: There are three chances to win $1000 during the next few months. Can't beat that. Register for the drawing and cross your fingers.

Bohemia After Dark premieres at 9pm ET on Robin Hood Radio. Hope you can tune in.
